I love Santa & I love Bread!

Just got Lynli to sleep, it's raining like cats & dogs outside and I'm finally able to do a little blogging!! I had a great weekend! It was filled with fun, laughter and family time!

Friday was my husband's (Alex) family's Annual EggNog Party! Alex's grandma makes homemade eggnog to drink and vegetable soup to eat...along with all the finger foods everyone else brought. Well, a couple days ago, I was given a Santa Clause bread recipe and I decided to make it for the party! At first, it looked too advance for me but then I thought what the heck?!?! +++plus I made some green rice krispie Christmas trees as back up :) ...SOOOOOO I followed all the directions to a tee and wahhhhhlaaaahhhh it turned out awesome!!! It was a sweet bread, kinda like a roll from a restaurant....Wanna know the other cool thing??? My mother-in-law made one too!!

Heres the recipe link: http://grannies.recipes/62f

The ingredients I used:

This is how my santa bread turned out!!! This was not a mold....I made the dough and molded it myself! IT'S EASY! YOU CAN DO IT!!

This was my MIL's santa on the right, mine's on the left!

Seriously you gotta try this recipe! Put yourself to the test and have FUN :)
Be the HIT of the party!

Saturday we worked around the house because it felt fabulous outside! Later on, Alex & I had a Date Night <3 <3 <3! It was SO needed!! Our <<2nd>> date night since Lynli was born-------we NEEDED it!! We went to our local movie theater and got popcorn and cokes and candy and only spent $20!!! That's a cheap date ;) We saw "Interstellar" with Matthew McCounghey and it was sooooo crazy awesome! Made you think outside the box and I felt like I was in space......please GO see it!! Here's the trailer>>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zSWdZVtXT7E

Today, we went to church and then came home. I dyed my hair dark brown, just for a change! Then, my redneck husband, whom I love so much.......cooked me dinner which was Rabbit!...hop....hOp...HoP!! Sorry for that buuuuuut it was good so ya'll should try it :)

Okay, I'm tired and this rain is starting to scare me ...just a little...goodnight!

Let me be your Personal Stylist!!

What do I wear?!
Do ya'll ever go to your closet and can't find ANYTHING to wear?!! It happens to me all the time and I'm always wanting new clothes! It's bad for my budget but boosts my confidence when I feel stylish :) So I have picked out four outfits that are my "Go-To" outfits for this holiday season! Just call me your personal stylist (which is my dream job)!
Some popular fashion trends this season are plaid shirts. I have one Ralph Lauren plaid shirt that I wear all the time! It's long, big and versatile. I wear it with leggings, jeans and pair it with a vest and scarf. Like in this first outfit, I paired my plaid shirt with this new black/grey vest, black skinny jeans, black boots and a statement necklace. This is one of my absolute favorites because it's comfortable, cute and classy! You could also add some leg warmers to go under your boots.
The second outfit is the same vest with a black long sleeve shirt, skinny jeans, high heel boot and a chunky necklace. As you can tell, I LOVE big, gaudy jewelry! It's the one thing I look at in every store I go in.  This particular vest has been a big trend this fall/winter season and it was on sale for $35! Yes, this vest is awesome but any vest will make you warm and trendy this winter!
My third outfit is a basic but classy. It's just a plain long sleeve shirt, skinny jeans, brown wedge boots and a leopard scarf! If loving leopard is wrong, I don't want to be right!.....but seriously, who doesn't love leopard?! This outfit can be worn to many occasions because you can dress it down with some flats or dress it up with wedge boots. I love these colors together!
Finally, my last outfit is frilly and full of funk! I bought this paisley shirt for $3 at Goodwill and I am so happy with it! It's a little tight in the arms but long enough to cover my backside (major plus) and it's colorful....which means I can pair it with multiple cardigans! Wear this with some black skinny jeans, gray booties and of course, a gray necklace (Walmart, $5)! If you've noticed on shoe websites and store windows that stiletto and wedge booties are a bumpin' fashion trend right now. The wedges are my cup of tea because they are A LOT more comfier than a stiletto! TOMS are a great brand for wedge booties but I actually got mine at CATOS for $30! Major steal and very impressive to find them in my small town!
I hope these outfits have helped you realize that you DO have things to wear and you will wear them well!! It's also fun to get out different pieces and pair them up to see what goes together. If you're wondering where I got any of these clothes, just comment below! Remember, Style is a way to say who you are without having to speak. Be yourself and know you are beautiful! x0x0x
